Where’s the tree (this will do)

The weekly Prompts Weekend Challenge: Expect

Excuse me, have you seen Dave? I expect he will be home soon, he is bring lunch back for the kids.
I don’t know why I can’t have a home like everyone else. You’ll like it here, he said, close to all the modern conveniences, he said. All I wanted was a nice branch and a few leaves, is that too much to ask?

I’m here now, what did you want for lunch? It was a real smorgasbord today.
Wait a minute, can’t you see I’m busy with the kids? Anyway, where have you been?

I was over at the school, there are some big fat grubs in the garden. You know, like the ones I regurgitated this yesterday.
Which school? I need a break and I expect you to sit here until I get back, this lot won’t hatch themselves you know!

Ok then. You know the school, the one over there with the new garden.
Ah, yes I can see now. I expect you to be back here to look after the kids earlier Dave, I have a lot I want to do.
Look at these feathers, they don’t preen themselves you know. I have an appointment at Maggie Pies salon, she’s having a Pee Wee special this afternoon, I expect it will be busy.

The tree fence

Ragtag Daily Prompt Friday: Excrescence

Every time I drive past this tree, which is rarely, I always stop to make sure it is still growing well. It originally would have had fencing wire wrapped around it, using it as a fence stay. Over time the Spotted Gum tree just consumed the wire and grew like this.

Isn’t it amazing what nature can do?

Becky’s Square Photo Challenge: #SquareUp

Yes, I have reached peak lazy today in doing my #SquareUps. I looked about for what up stuff I might have around the place. Took a few photos but not overly content with those. But then this popped up. Just the thing for a Square post.

Can you remember which square photo challenge this is from?

Blue #1 – Tangled up in Blue

There’s a new photo challenge for July from Becky: Blue

The theme for July squares which begins Monday is ‘Blue‘  I am hoping you’ll be having fun over the next 31 days with squares that could;

  1. be a ‘Bolt from the Blue’ – something unexpected or surprising
  2. explore ‘Into the wide blue yonder‘ – sky, sea or maybe a location that is appealingly unknown and mysterious
  3. simply be ‘Blue – whether that’s azure, cobalt, sapphire, cerulean, navy, ultramarine, indigo, or turquoise
  4. and there is an extra challenge for those of you up for it – can you manage to combine two of these, or maybe even all three?

I hope I don’t too tangled up in #Blue #JulySquares

The rules are simple:
Have fun interpreting the spikiness but don’t forget there is ONE absolute rule for this daily photo challenge – your main photograph must be square.
