He was told
she rode every
morning.
Some days
he walked
in the
morning.
Maybe he dreams.

On the flat
near
the park
he would hear
her whizz
past
seeing her
hair streaming
behind.
Other days
on the hill
the shops way
up there
he would hear
her coming
heavy breathing
a strain
pushing strong legs
with
a slight
puff still
on track.
Maybe he dreams
This time
he saw
her ears
music to
ride.
He liked music
maybe he
could share
Maybe he dreams

she would never
look at him
she whizzes
past
long hair
red bow
bootie shorts
