  2. When I lived in Wollongong, there was an entire street lined in Jacarandas. It was the first time I’d ever seen them. Later, I lived in L.A. and one street above me was an entire block of them as well. Now, in Mexico, they are commonplace. I’m allergic but nonetheless love them and they arouse feelings of nostalgia.
