When I lived in Wollongong, there was an entire street lined in Jacarandas. It was the first time I’d ever seen them. Later, I lived in L.A. and one street above me was an entire block of them as well. Now, in Mexico, they are commonplace. I’m allergic but nonetheless love them and they arouse feelings of nostalgia.

A great jacaranda tree. We have to go to Spain to see these.

My nearest city, Grafton, has them in nearly every street. Known as the Jacaranda City with a floral festival, one of the oldest in Australia 🙂
