Floral Friday – FF #50
Cee’s FOTD
During the week I posted a bean flower in monochrome. A lot of people enjoyed that black and white photo but I think it looks much better in colour.
Do you like the colour or black and white?

And their German name rhymes with a very naughty word. When I was little (really little, not even in school yet) somebody taught me a very saucy joke and I kept telling it. I think I was 16 when I asked my mother what was funny about it. I just hadn’t made the connection. 😉

Now I am intrigued The C word?

No. The equivalent of the English F-word. Starts with an F in German, too. I can offer the excuse (for the others) that the joke is one of these rhyming jokes were you do not say the bad word but because of the rhyme it’s implied. Very cute for a nursery school kid 😉

Oh that is so naughty for a little kid but amusing at the same time

What I could not translate is that there is another word completely innocent, starts with an F and rhymes but adds another syllable. Impossible to translate. But that made it just about an okay joke for a child.

I think you’re right. The black and white is beautiful for the shadows, but the colour one is so, so pretty. 🤩

What a different effect each gives! I like both, each for different reasons. Colours are hard to beat though…
