The promise of flowers

I promised Cee that I would show my Begonia flowers for FOTD and Floral Friday

I don’t know the individual names of the plants, I just love the leaves and the small delicate flowers. The flowers have almost finished so soon it will be time to take some leaf cuttings. Here’s a simple how to propagate from leaf cuttings

This is a Wax Begonia. This species has stunning red flowers and bright
yellow centre. Even the insects like the flowers.

The other two Wax Begonias I have are very similar in leaf but one has a
white flower and this one a deep pink flower. A Native Bee is examining
the leaf. I wonder if it is a Leaf Cutter Bee?

The flowers of a Tree Begonia. These can grow quite tall except here as
Possums love them and break them. Going to have to build a tall plants
section in the shade house.

The leaf of this plant is quite different and grows in a quite large star shape.
The flowers start a dark pink and gradually turn white.

Some Begonias have smaller flowers. These are half the size of the
previous flowers.

I think these are my favourite, large white flowers and lots of little
freckled flowers

white flowers

I have one of my oldest Begonias in a hanging pot on the verandah. This is
what happens when you just take the photo and not really concentrate. I
actually like this better than the one that is supposed to be better.

CWWC: Any type of Rails, Runways, Ski Lifts, Elevators, Hot Air Balloons

I thought I would show something different for CWWC this week. I had this idea and one day just did it. The video isn’t for everyone. Has it a meaning? Let me know, even a thumbs up or thumbs down will do – if dumbfounded 😂

Many moons

Denzils Nature Photo Challenge #30: Moon

This is part 2. Part 1 The Moon gets bigger was a week ago. I already had this post almost done and as we have two weeks, I have taken my time.

I may have a number of photos of our Moon. Well, there’s a lot here I guess.

The very first photo of the moon I ever posted in 2012

Daytime photos of the moon are a lot easier

Sometimes clouds drift by to add a mysterious feel

The late afternoon sun and change of sky colour intrigue

As do broken clouds

Wispy clouds at night drift across the Moon

The Moon was still awake when there was a magnificent purple Sunrise

The Moons aura is reflected in clouds

One night I was driving down my road and the Moon made me stop and look for a while

I love silhouettes. The tops of Eucalypt trees are so good. Throw in some clouds…..

Close up of leaf laden branches with a hint of Moon

Sometimes the Moon is ever so bright

I love seeing the craters
