Sunday Stills: Looking at Life Through a #Window
Ludwigs Monday Window

I have a wonderful window outlook here. I don’t have any recent visitors for Sunday Stills, so here’s a few visitors from the past. I thought I would also double dip with Monday Window as I didn’t have anything prepared this week.

This first set is from my office window. I can just sit here, pick up my camera very carefully with the least amount of movement and take a photo.

I can’t believe how dry the garden was when this was taken. The garden look very different now. This is Tiny, the King Parrot at the start of a friendship that is still going with what I think are his progeny.

Here is Tiny’s mate who learnt quickly where the best spot was to get my attention.

Tiny liked to sit and pose

One day I heard a knocking. Looking through the curtain was a Magpie Lark with a serious look. I still don’t know what it wanted

A Little Friarbird decided that the window sill and knocking could be what was needed

If all else fails, just yell

Eastern Whipbirds are quite elusive usually. There are some who a garden regulars and this was the only time I have seen one checking me out.

Now lets venture into the kitchen and have a look through the front windows into the garden. This is the long view towards the front gate

Red-necked Wallabies are seen here most days

As I was still trying to work out how I wanted the front sometimes one of the Red-necked Wallaby Joeys would come to enquire how the job was going.

After the 2019 fire, I bought food and gave the Wallabies water. I saw the young Wallaby on the right this morning with her own Joey in the garden

Do you like this view? This is the view, minus the rainbow, every day in the office where I worked

  1. Brian, it’s a wonder you ever get anything done with views through your windows like this! Tiny is just gorgeous, and having wallabies for company… what can I say? Have a happy week!

    1. Thanks my Jo, I have had a day of Satin Bowerbirds, little Oscar the bearded Dragons antics, a wallaby and her Joey as well as rain. A fun filled day while stuck inside.
I hope Mick will be himself this week. If not go and find that blasted cat for a good talking to 😂

      1. The cat has been avoiding me, but then, his mistress is home 🤣🩷 My distraction this week will be the tennis from Oz. No Rafa but I like Jannik Sinner and young Carlito. Andy Murray has already gone 😢. No staying up all night this time though 💙💙

  2. Wow, Brian, what a show you have through your windows! Parrots, wallabies, funny birds…what’s not to love? Great shots. I can’t get over how some are so curious and come right to your windows and peep in. Very cool. Thanks for double dipping with your windows!

  3. Wow…I love the variety of wildlife through your windows. It’s so funny when you live in another location the wildlife someone else sees regularly I think of as “wow, that would be crazy to see in my yard”…These were really fun.

    1. Thanks Kirstin. I feel much the same when taken into anothers “backyard”. Sometimes I don’t take a photo as I see it everyday but I now know that it may be special to others 🙂

  4. It’s so awesome Brian, that you don’t even need to get out to see these lovely beings 😀. I guess you don’t need a television for entertainment, at least during the day 😀!
