Thanks Jo/ No matter you have heard the song a million times anyway.
It was OK, nothing special. The girls came out yesterday for afternoon nibbles and dinner, which was quite lovely. The gave me lots of cooking type things which is what I eed especially when the bought “fancy” things.
How was yours? ♥️

Really nice, darlin. Met new family members and James cooked a magnificent dinner. Last day in Leeds then we head to Nottingham tomorrow 🤗❤️

Love the video. I read Jo’s comment, she’s just a few miles from me right now; so out of curiosity I also tried it on my phone and I had no problems viewing it.
I’m glad you had a lovely day with your girls.

Isn’t it so good. Thanks Sue. Did Josh cook this year?

We were a few missing this year due to the turn of inlaws.
Yes, he cooked and I prepped all the veg for thirteen of us , but I prepped enough for a small army.
We had roast turkey and roast duck and all the trimmings plus more.
We always follow Christmas Day and Boxing Day with lazy days of doing very little and eating leftovers in every form we can imagine, Christmas lasts all week in our house. 🙂

Thirteen!!! Haven’t had a Christmas since Dad and Mum lived in the family home and all the brothers and sisters still lived in Sydney. I always help wash up to get brownie points 🙂

We’re often more than that, it all depends on who is visiting the inlaws. I have five children and twelve grandchildren. I love big Christmas get togethers, though I have to admit it’s easier to entertain in the summer when we can have BBQs and everyone is outdoors. 🙂

Yes indeed outdoors is much better for a crowd. My parents had five children also. I am five of five

Such a talent! 👑 Another Queen, Aretha Franklin sang Chain of Fools. You chose the sweeter lyrics. 🎶😇

It has been 37C so inside in the air-con for me. The temperature has dropped to 35C 😲

It looks like a bicycle chain but it sure stands out against the blue sky. For some reason I couldn’t view the video here – so I found it. I’ve never heard that song which is surprising since Diana Ross was born in Detroit. P.S. – I thought the video might be a really old song “Chain Gang” by Sam Cooke.

I did consider Sam Cooke but it’s a bit depressing. Plus The Pretenders, Tina Arena and someone else’s song too
Goodness knows how long that chain has been attached to the bridge

I have songs I reference sometimes and think “does anyone know this song?” I’ve mentioned to a few bloggers that if I use an expression that’s been around a while, I have to check the slang dictionary as it often has a way different meaning – like whew, glad I checked! 🙂

I couldn’t get the video either, but that hairstyle said it all! Splendid photo as well.

Thanks Graham. The video is so good as it starts as a young Diana Ross and when the chorus is on it goes to modern colour versions
