Broken memories

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Carvings, Sculptures and Statues

This morning I went for a walk in one of Graftons oldest cemeteries. Over the years there has been vandalism which saddens me

I walked
among headstones

toppled
fractured stones

names lost
lives departed

fallen
forgotten

a century ago
no one remembers
no one cares

they lay
undisturbed

until now
fractured stones
toppled
headstones.

Always watching

Ragtag Daily Prompt Tuesday: Angel

Looking down
from on high
cold unblinking
eyes
She watches
she knows
your thoughts
your actions
Watching
eternally watching
with cold
unblinking
eyes.
