A bit of purple

The Friendly Friday Challenge: Purple

Sandy would like some purple prose but I am not one for writing prose per se and the prompt – It was a dark and stormy night – the classic opening. Therefor here is my bit of purple, just the one for fun

In the garden

Life in Colour: Purple

The Iris I discovered in a garden in a town we visited last weekend, Tenterfield. It is a town on the Tablelands not far from mine or my besties place. There were some flowers in the gardens but the weather is turning a bit cooler and up on the tablelands it is much cooler than here. When we left home it was 22C, reaching Tenterfield it was 16C with a cool wind blowing.

Some flowers were still blooming while some had had their show.

The hat

Jude’s Life in Colour: Purple

Jude asked “Have you any purples In your neighbourhood?”
A hat for all those Steampunk people I found at the Kyogle Markets. (Kyogle is a town on the North Coast of NSW)

A favourite bit purple

Life in Colour May: Purple

Jude want’s to know “What’s your favourite purple Picture?” Perhaps this one? A Blue-banded Bee in a Blue Ginger flower. Blue Ginger flowers vary in colour from a blue to a deep purple depending on the amount of sunlight, soils etc.

Purple around my place #1

Life in Colour May: Purple

Jude has asked “What purples can you find in Nature?” I have a few native plants and flowers around my place that are purple. It is hard to capture the purple of the flowers in some of the flowers. Most of these flowers are between 10 and 18mm in diameter. Unfortunately I don’t know the names of some of these.

I am saving a lot of purples for later in the month so come back every now and then and see what else I can find.
