While waiting for the egg to boil and have already buttered the toast, my own homemade bread, the inspiration took hold. I grabbed my camera and here is my breakfast. That sounds so Instagram or Twitter doesn’t it!

Yes, yesterday was rather warm and I forgot to put the butter in the fridge

 
I have been searching for a glass butter dish for quite a while. Many of the antique dishes were either not quite right or hideously expensive. I was looking online and one came up in a retail outlet that looked like what I wanted. Yes I did buy it and it cost me $18! The butter dish was $9.75 and the postage $8.25.
