The photo challenge from Travelling at Wits End: When One Door Closes
I must admit I have a door fetish when travelling in Europe. I had to stop myself from posting too many. But you can’t have too many door photos can you?
The oldest door from Avignon
Another old door in Bologna
A glass door somewhere in France
A church door in Bologna
An ornate door in Dijon

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge Week 1: Photo Geometry, bushes, window, brick, curtain, green, tan, wall, building, dark red, tree
What a selection Cee has chosen for us to pick from. I think it may be several posts if I get the inspiration. This post started off as Geometry but a few Windows appeared.

Another art work from the Centre Pompidou – some neon geometry
Once I thought of geometry, along came some stained glass windows as well. A church in Lyon France

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge theme: Arches, Domes or Half Circles
An assortment of the old from Rome and a bit of new from Barcelona and Paris
I couldn’t go past the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona for my fab ceiling photos. OK I couldn’t stop at one for the Lost in Translation black and white photo challenge Ceiling
One of my favourite buildings in the world. Gaudi is amazing with his vision for a fantastic building.
I am sure some of you would like to see the colour versions too
The Daily Post photo challenge made me think of the photos I have with reflections. The ones that I chose were from the hours spent in La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The whole structure is so amazing. The outside with its many carvings and intricate designs but once inside the amazement turns to wonderment. The light through the myriad of stained glass windows is breathtaking.
The light reflects on every surface lighting the Sagrada with dancing colours.
This a small selection of what I saw.
The floor – a cool blue
The floor – a fiery red
Another photo challenge from Paula’s Thursday’s Special
I have chosen a few photos from my travel folder for this challenge as well as the first two from my home, Australia.
Commanding – The view from the top of the pine tree
Coarse – The Sand Crab and his treasures
Gibbous – On the wall of the Notre Dame de Paris
Incremental – A wall in the Grand Hyatt South Korea
Indelible – The first time I saw the Segrada Familia in 2009
Thanks Paula for the inspiration and time to set the challenges.
