Blue #30 – Collecting material for building a nest

This months square challenge from Becky: Blue

Well here is the second last day for Becky’s #Blue #JulySquares photo challenge. Why not get a favourite photo with a bit of blue crop it square and show us what you have and join the Square Gang.

This one is also for Debbies Six Word Saturday challenge

On Saturday while sitting on the verandah and having a cuppa, a Blue-faced Honeyeater just flew into the front garden and landed on the ground. Most unusual for them to be on the ground. I wondered why and then he looked up and flew off. This is one of the photos of a Blue-faced Honeyeater gathering nesting material.

Unexpected

The Photo a Week Challenge from Nancy: Unexpected

I love the unexpected in photos. Most time I don’t realise until I download and see the photo on the big screen. The featured photo. I was taking photos of bees in the Bangalow Palm flowers and didn’t see the Eastern Dwarf Green Tree Frog sitting among the flowers

I was taking photos of Banana flowers and didn’t notice until I enlarged that there was a murder taking place. An Assassin Bug has an ant. Most unexpected

Chatting at the bird bath

The Weekly Prompts Word Prompt: Idle Chatter

We humans have a propensity to gather at the coffee machine or kettle or water cooler at work where we can have a bit of a chin wag. So perhaps a place where there is water to drink and to bathe is a place where birds like to congregate and indulge in idle chatter.

Blue #21 – Runnin’ Blue

This months square challenge from Becky: Blue

The theme for July is ‘blue‘, and as always it is totally up to you how you interpret the square theme but whatever you decide to do, please remember there is a rule if you want to part of the Square Gang and be sure your photos are square so you can make it into the gallery.

Blue #13 – More blue eyes

This months square challenge from Becky: Blue

The theme for July is ‘blue‘, and as always it is totally up to you how you interpret the square theme but here are Beckys suggestions for how we might stay connected on our square adventures this month.

  1. be a ‘Bolt from the Blue’ – something unexpected or surprising
  2. explore ‘Into the wide blue yonder‘ – sky, sea or maybe a location that is appealingly unknown and mysterious
  3. simply be ‘Blue – whether that’s azure, cobalt, sapphire, cerulean, navy, ultramarine, indigo, or turquoise
  4. and there is an extra challenge for those of you up for it – can you manage to combine two of these, or maybe even all three?

Whatever you decide to do, please remember there is a rule if you want to part of the Square Gang and be sure your squares make into the gallery.
