They are such wonderful birds. They can be sitting in a tree and you don’t notice then. They look like branches

That sleeeping owl is simply darling. She looks so exhausted.

I love Tawny Frogmouths. Sitting on eggs all day would be exhausting

I just watched a youtube clip (yes, I’m procrastinating) where an owl’s eggs didn’t hatch. By coincidence they had a couple of owlets blown out of a tree and in need of a mother. They exchanged her dud eggs with the little owls and the scene when she saw them for the first time and immediately took them under their wings was so precious. One of the owlets looked like it gave a sigh of relief and snuggled with her new mum (yes, I’m anthropomorphising … did I write that correctly?)

That is so cute. Some mothers just need to be mothers. I tend to anthropomorphise all the time 😁

That building in Beaune is quite OTT!

Rather. That why it needed a photo to make sure I didn’t imagine it

These are perfect, Brian. I love the ones where you got down to look up. The Tawny Frogmouth is amazing.

Great selection, but the Tawny Frogmouth takes the honors this time.

Nice selection Brian 😎👍 Love the Frogmouth. The Chickens under the truck gave me a laugh – I experience the same behaviour in Pallegney 🤣

Thanks Martin 😀 Those chooks used to follow me everywhere in the garden. Sometimes it was OK when the helped turn over a garden bed but other times 🙄

Chickens do love to do some scratching – Hope they didn’t do it to your freshly sown crop 😅

Cool drop of water picture, Brian. You must have used the vignetter effect.

Thank you. I did use a vignette, well spotted
