Had to sneak at least one wooden door in

Hi BB – this post was a good variety for wood and some of the deatils really made me appreciate wood and all that it can do….
and the song ws smooth and a nice addition

Excellent collection Brian. Those old fences, tumbledown sheds and wooden bridges always make great subjects. I like your angle for the ship too.

Wonderful photography, Brian. I love the photo of the mallet and the one of the fence. Good companion music, too.

Love these wooden bridges. They look elegant. But can’t handle today’s traffic 😀!

I do as well. The costs of repairs didn’t help either

I like the trestle bridge best – that old wood and all the poles kind of bunched together – I can maybe see why they dismantled it.

The railway no longer existed either. I guess there were plans for the land too

The timber looked very weathered and I wonder if they repurposed it.

Yes it was repurposed or at least stacked for re-use

I grew up listening to CSNY because my Dad did, but never thought much about them (other than seeing Steven Stills at a concert in Colorado Springs) till a good friend of mine, Marcus Eaton, became friends with David Crosby and then toured with him, then did the score for the movie David Crosby: Remember My Name, which his brother AJ Eaton directed. This song is good, and also reminds me of my childhood, and my friend Marcus. ❤
Also- my fave is the petrified wood.

That is a great story Crystal. I have a couple of Crosby’s records as well as Nash and Crosby ones and Stills CD’s as well.
There is a ridge just up from my place where there is a lot of petrified wood
