An impressive set of doors. I love the double doors of the top photo particularly.

Thanks, I haven’t walked around the whole cathedral and really looked at the doors before

Wow! Those are beautiful doors. Nothing fancy, but good solid construction mean to last a long time. I especially love seeing those large double doors open. The doors are welcoming, and the brick work is amazing.

Thanks Dan. Those doors have been there since the 1850’s I think. The cathedral doors are opened in the morning and closed in the evening. I have never been in town when the outer doors have been closed.
One of my favourite buildings in town

There’s something about that last door that I find very appealing, very puritan.

I like the glass above that door, maybe a transom 🤔

They seriously do not want anyone using the East door. Just sayin. You can’t beat cathedral doors, Brian. I liked all of these.

Thanks Crystal 😀 I guess that side was where the break-ins happened many many years ago. I’ll have to check but I an sure all the doors have internal bars except the front doors as they are on the Police Station side.

Wonderful gallery Brian. I love the first door and the intricate and I suspect very difficult stone work at the top of the arch of the door. And then to craft a door to fit that space tall enough…is quite skillful. Love the last door, its charm is simplicity itself. Great share.

Thanks Suzette 😀 The craftsman back in the late 1800’s who built the Cathedral were very good indeed
