Dans Thursday Doors
This is a huge shed in need of love. I didn’t try to wade in too far to actually get to the door. Overgrown and dark make me nervous. Not keen on encountering spiders or snakes.

I do, when I know where they are and can see them to identify, not suddenly to have them on me expectantly

I think you are wise not to go in there!🥺

You have that right Aletta

Oh yes, Brian… there would definitely be snakes somewhere there. You are in Australia, right? Haha

I love these old buildings but its always best to err on the side of caution. One never knows what lurks in the dark!

A shed with character

This is pretty cool. It has lots of character. Nothing a few boards, a splash of paint and a herd of goats couldn’t bring back to life. But I don’t blame you for not getting closer. Besides, I think you got one door (not that it matters).

I wasn’t sure if it was a door or a window so I didn’t point it out. It is a fixer upper for sure

When we would drive by buildings like that when I was a little kid, I would always tell my mother, “Some day I’ll buy you a place like that.” She must have thought I was nuts.

No. I reneged on that deal.

Love the weathered tin roof but I’m really curious how the heck did a monstera get here?

Thanks, I have no idea but plants often find a spot when they want from birds or animals leaving seeds behind, if they grow from seed

Holy cowabunga!! That’s the biggest monstera I could ever imagine!! I was just talking to a plant shop owner about re-potting my own monstera. I told her it was a big one. Now I realize I was wrong. ha ha

The biggest I have ever seen as well. My ex planted one and I hack it back every now and then as it get’s too close to the house. They cut back well though

I was thinking how perfect it looked as a project… and then you had to mention the spiders and snakes… your ones are way more dangerous than our wee Scottish ones. 😂

A good project if you have a Hazmat suit 😂

Decaying sheds or barns make for good photos, but make me sad because they’re no longer in use.

That is a sad reality of old buldings

I’d take a hard pass on venturing too close too. For me, it would not only be the ticks keeping me away, but whatever lurks in that tall grass.

I didn’t mention the insects 🙄

Slithering and crawling things – ugh!

Those vines and grasses are a great security system 😉 Just joking but I do love an old barn!!

I wouldn’t be venturing much closer either, but that was close enough for a great photo. I love the way the shadows work. The dark is the warning, but then there’s the bright light on that sad old doorway. I too would leave it to the things that slither and crawl.
