Dan’s Thursday Doors
This door is on a building in the Grafton Cathedral grounds.
Called “The Close” (no idea why) was built in 1856 and restored in 1984

A bit of a short post so how about a song too. George Harrison – “Behind That Locked Door”

Still looms new even though it was restored back in 1984.

I think the door may have had a recent paint job as did the windows and sills

That’s a great photo, and anytime you want to extend the post with something from George Harrison, it will put a smile on my face.
The Close, in case you’re interested, was the area around a cathedral that was related to or under control of the cathedral’s head priest. I was curious, so I looked it up.

Thanks Dan. The local history site I was looking at was a bit confusing about what was what as there is one other building next to it. A bit of George every now and then is refreshing 🙂

The fence makes that door look more interesting. Lovely song! 😀

Oh yes. I looked at the door and loved the blue but it is rather dull in a photo. The fence option seems to be a good idea.
Glad you enjoyed the song as well Gloria 🙂

I do as well. I was not happy when they painted the door that blue. Jesus moves in mysterious ways 😂
