A sense of order

Marsha’s Wednesday Quotes

I am not sure where I am going with this so hang on

I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order
John Burroughs

Processional Caterpillars have their own sense of order

Until a mischief maker comes along

Seeing the V shaped order of birds heading off to parts unknown

“The proper order of things is often a mystery to me.”
– Cheshire Cat – Lewis Carroll

Chaos is merely order waiting to be deciphered.
– Jose Saramago

      1. In this set of pictures, they look like some sort of extrusion (like snails leave) — I’m fascinated by the train of caterpillars following each other. Nature repeats itself in so many interesting permutations — like elephants travelling in line, or like human folk dances in some areas, etc. Thanks for showing the link to the previous post!

  1. Your quote and picture of chaos go together perfectly. What in the world is it made of? It looks like chairs, bamboo, striped bicycle parts. It’s interesting! I laughed out loud at the mischief that the processional caterpillars encountered. Fun post!

      1. That is a fascinating story, BB. I’m going to include the link in my post because I think people should have the opportunity to see the whole picture. Wow! I’ve never seen caterpillers do that!
