John’s Cellpic Sunday
The hammer and gavel were given to me as a bit of fun when I was the Chair of Clarence Landcare Inc. During the meeting I used to say I need a hammer and gavel to get this lot in order, especially when the debate was going on too long and around in circles.
One of the Landcare Officers bought it in one Christmas and said my wish was granted. I used it in a couple of meetings until I was told it was too loud and I was not to use it.
The Hammer and Gavel have a place on the marble mantle piece now.

My husband has a hammer and gavel from his mother, who had to chair meetings of her town council back in the day. They’re extremely similar to yours.

I think the style is quite generic ๐
