Very good, Grasshopper. 🙂 But you know it’s not easy being green.

Thanks janet. Grasshopper has a better ring to it than Katydid and green is green 🙂

Thanks Irene. It was quite easy as the Katydid was on my desk and my camera is always there as well 🙂

Great photo, Brian. Lots of good details.

It was an easy photo shoot. I sat on my chair in my office and the Katydid just watched what I was doing. Didn’t move until I tried to get too close 😀

It looks huge. Such big grashoppers are sometimes called “hay horse” in German. This one qualifies.

Katydids are bigger than most Grasshoppers around here and that one would be as long as your finger.
I love hay horse 🙂

Wow! I’m impressed you could get a grasshopper as they are always so fast. Great shot.

Thanks Bridgette. The photo doesn’t tell the whole story. The Katydid only had one hopping leg, probably a result of being grabbed by a Huntsman Spider or Gecko and it was at night

That makes sense! What a cool shot!
