I have lots of pretty colours that don’t always get shown

I do a good silhouette

When it gets cold, we huddle together to keep warm

I love to sit on a post and keep an eye out for a snack

It doesn’t take all that long until someone forgets I am there

    1. Laughing Kookaburra are also known as “the bushmans alarm clock”
      I have a couple of families here. They would normally be calling now but there’s a storm approaching

  6. Cute little bird, and pretty distinctive call. Funny, we learned and sang a song about a laughing Kookaburra when I was in Girl Scouts. As far as I know we don’t have them here. 🙂

    1. They aren’t little Barbara as far as flying birds go. They are an Australian bird but their calls were used in old jungle movies from the 1960/70’s – Tarzan, Jungle Jim etc
      It was a song written for Girl Guides
