Becky’s #WalkingSquares
The last few days I have been totally immersed in my Regional Landcare Network Gathering. There were people from all over the north coast from Port Macquarie in the south to Tweed Heads in the north and out to the tablelands in the west.
It was held at Aanuka Resort in Coffs Harbour which is central to the region. The resort has great rooms for conferences, capacity to have around fifty people and a restaurant. There were presentations by the local Landcare Co-ordinators plus other invited guests plus a lot of brainstorming sessions to set our goals for the next four years which is our funding cycle.
This is a short post as I didn’t have time to wander about with my camera, so lets walk on by
One of the typical walks to and from the rooms, the gathering and restaurant

The view from the restaurant

Lovely place!

What a great place to have a conference – far more attractive and interesting than most of the places I’ve had to go during my career!

Most of the resorts have conference facilities. Living on the North Coast, most are on the beaches, so there are fabulous places to hold gatherings 😀

When you have time, it would be good to have post about the Regional Landcare Network. Meanwhile, lovely photos.

I’ve only had time to have a very quick look so far, but this looks really great. I hope this is a movement that gathers strength and has real impact. Good stuff!

It sounds like a very worthwhile and necessary gathering, Brian. And I love Dionne Warwick!

We hold one a year to find out what others are doing and hopefully get new ideas for Clarence Landcare from the other groups to encourage people to look after our environment.
When I listened to the words of the song I hope it was OK for our Becky x

Your photos kind of undermine your assertion that you’re working hard! Looks like a vacation destination.

well this is a rather fabulous conference place – the ones in the UK are usually in dreadful places! And your choice of music has made me smile as I nearly chose it for my gallery this evening 🙂

It is quite wonderful to have choices of conference facilities around here. Aanuka is one of the best. I am glad the music was OK. Use it for your gallery anyway I reckon xx
