Dan’s Thursday Doors
A while ago, I went to an open house for a house for sale. It was a very old place over one hundred years old and not been lived in for a few years. It was an amazing house with lots of rooms and a huge plot of land. I enjoyed a walk around in time. You can see by the paint work on these door that they haven’t been maintained in quite some time. I loved their patina.

sounds like your kind of place Brian … did you put an offer in?

It would have been over $1million so no I didn’t

sure you’d get more than that for your place, then you could start again π

That’s a beautiful old door. I’m surprised at how narrow the upper structure is, but it has an elegant look.

Beautiful. And a little sad, too.

In a way, yes. They were waiting for a bit of love π

The doors look well loved, despite their faded paint.

Love the doors, especially the one with glass. If you bought the house, you wouldn’t want to paint them!

I would paint them. I would put a preservative coating of some sort though
