What is this? A fruit or berry? Is it something that you can eat? Fascinating

It is the fruit of a Tuckaroo Tree. Apparently they are edible but I have never been game to try. Figbird, Olive-backed Oriels and Pied Currawongs are the main birds who eat them as well as Satin Bowerbirds 🙂

Tuckaroo sounds like it must be edible! Such wonderful names. Makes me think of Willy Wonka. Did Roald Dahl come from Australia, I wonder? 😉

I don’t think he did 🙂
