Terri’s Sunday Stills Monthly Colour Challenge: #Teal or #Aqua Rhymes with???
Yesterday I went to see a friend who was my first school friend at the age of four. He and his wife are having a mini holiday at a beach town down the coast from my place called Woolgoolga. I have been thinking of what I had for this challenge and going into town for lunch I found just what I wanted.

A lovely place to sit and watch the world go by

A way in the distance, Solitary Island and the lighthouse from the headland

Thought I would also sneak this into Pull Up a Seat
Perfect examples of teal and aqua, Brian! Jealous of your fab weather! Have a great week!

Thank Terri. That was a lucky day to get down there. Today is back to grey and chilly
Enjoy your week as well 🙂

Solitary is a good name for that island. I like the other two as well.

Funny thing is that there is also Split Solitary Island, North Solitary Island and South Solitary Island in the group. Also a Marine National Park which has lots of fish apparently, you would love it 🙂

Not sure how appropriate it is to have a group of solitary islands, but you’re right about the fish!

It is so good to have a mate for that long. We were talking and he mentioned something and his wife said I never knew that!!!! We know lots about each other

I forgot to add
“The name Woolgoolga comes from ‘wiigulga’, the Gumbaynggirr nation word for the black apple tree of which First Nations people ate the fallen fruit.”
It also has a large Sikh population and a temple. They own large horticultural farm growing bananas and blueberries mainly

I had no idea there was such a thing as a black apple tree. Australia never ceases to inform and amaze.
