Remember my photo of a church in Lismore?

This is what it looked like last week after floodwaters inundated the town.

Wow, such a graphic illustration of the scale of the flooding. That first photo shows the church is on a rise and the second shows it doesn’t matter. I hope things dry out soon over there.

Not sure about the inside as a lot of that is wood but there won’t be structural damage I think

There is thousands homeless and hundreds of houses that will be condemned. The streets are stilled filled with the contents of houses and shops. It is such a disaster

When Iâve seen homes here devastated and damaged by floods it makes me so sad. One can only hope those affected in your floods were well insured.
LikeLiked by 2 people
OH not many could afford the insurance. The building where K’s daughter had her studio cost $26,000 a year to insure and most basic houses the cost was upwards of $10,000 a year.

Crikey, that sounds like a lot of money! Those poor people, it must be so awful to lose their homes and possessions.
A problem here is that some homes in flood areas can no longer get insurance thanks to global warming and the reoccurrence of flooding.
