Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge: Rust Buckets
I have no idea what this machine was for or why it was near the beach

A close up of a rust bucket

Part of a military cannon

An old Holden in a farm paddock

Stopped to refuel as we did

Always love a rusty roof

An old bus in the hind dunes

The old truck that has been in my street since I first moved here. Has since been moved to another property unfortunately. I liked it where it was.

The brake pedal from the above truck

Totally gorgeous – I love rusty things

Love a bit of rust! That first image looks like winding gear….what would have been pulled up in that place?

Thanks Sue. I wonder if it was part of a whaling station or some fishing bit of machinary

And I’ve seen such at slate mines

Not a mine close by there but it is basically a winching device 🙂

These are amazing, Brian. The old cars and the buildings really do it for me 😍

I do like photos of rust, it’s very photogenic 🙂 That old truck that used to be in your street would have kept me and my camera happy for hours!

I didn’t take enough photos as I didn’t think it would have been hauled off. I must try to find where it went. Glad you liked that truck Sarah 🙂 🙂

These are the mechanical/metal versions of Sue’s decaying flower series. 🙂 Beauty in decay. The Holden shot made me laugh because it reminds me of an animal pushing its nose right up to the camera.

Great set of photos, Brian. I wonder if that item in the top photo was for hauling boats up the beach. I’ve seen similar elsewhere.
