Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Buildings
These are from 2017. I can’t remember all of them but I’ll give it a go
A wonderful old Sydney building with it’s front fascia preserved and grotesque modern apartments built behind. Australia has no idea of preserving our heritage unfortunately. This saddens me.

Up the road from my place on a farm on the Clarence Ricer at Lilydale an old shed and silo

Somewhere in Europe

Maybe Paris?

Iconic Sydney on a stormy afternoon

Another old shed a few kilometers from my place

A song by Train from 2010
That first picture in particular is extraordinary. It looks as though the new(er) is built on top of the old.

It does doesn’t it although it is built behind 🙂

It is a pity those new buildings behind the old. The old are beautiful. Iconic Sydney is a beauty

It did distress me when I saw what was done 😦

I count myself lucky to have seen Sydney Harbour before they built the apartments close to the Opera House. What a disaster that was – from an aesthetic viewpoint. How lovely the harbour looked on my first sighting in 1992 and what a change thereafter.

Sydney has no idea really. Developers money is a crime for what was a beautiful harbour city 😥

A great and varied selection. That top photo is actually a bit disturbing. The newer buildings look like some kind of cancerous growth!

The old sheds have so much character, Brian. Character to have highlighted with the selective focus on the last shot.
