Terri’s Sunday Stills: The Power of the #Elements

Water – “All know that the drop merges into the ocean but few know that the ocean merges into the drop.” Kabir

Air – “Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.” Thich Nhat Hanh

Fire – “Set your life on fire, seek those who fan your flames. ” Rumi

Earth – “To forget how to dig the earth and to tend the soil is to forget ourselves.” Mahatma Gandhi

“A great silent space holds all of nature in its embrace. It also holds you” – Eckhart Tolle
Oh those floods- heartbreaking. A reflection in a puddle- wonderful. All beautiful examples of the elements Brian

Thanks Lisa. Thankfully the town has a great levee system. So happy you liked my selections 🙂 🙂

amazing images. idk which one i like the most, the reflection in water, the fire, or that matchstick one, the spiral in sky, or the first wave. i definitely heard the sound of that wave hitting the rock!

Powerful post, Brian! The waves in the first one took my breath away. Oh, and I may have worn out the sliders 😬

Thanks Susan. I just checked and the sliders are still working OK 😂

Great images, but the black and white one (image compare) reminds me of a giant spider.:)

It’s nice to be reminded that there is a world of beauty out there because I don’t see it from the toilet bowl of a city that I live in or the muddy ditch Seattle is turning into. Your pictures give me something to look forward to.

That is a shame. I don’t go to cities much and love living in the bush and going to a small town to shop once a week if I have to. Glad my photos can bring cheer Anita 🤗💕

Wonderful, inspiring quotes to go along with your awesome photos of nature’s elements, Brian! I see we have a similar taste for the unusual angle–I have a puddle reflection or two myself 🙂 If I HAD to choose a fave, it would be the parasailor carrying the flag–too cool! Thanks for sharing for Sunday Stills!

Thanks Terri. I don’t usually include quotes but you inspired me to do this time. The bloke on the parachute is the same one in the slider photos with the plane circling him. He is the small dot in the planes smoke 🙂

Excellent choices for the theme – I especially liked your fire set as well as the opening waves image and that puddle reflection!

BB, your pictures of the elements are fabulous. I had no flood pictures, few fire pictures, lots of earth, air, and normal water. Yours are out of the ordinary. Love these! 🙂
