The Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge: Anticipate
After lovely comments about a recent photo of the Willie Wagtails chicks anticipating a meal from their parents, I did a trawl through other birds whose chicks are always ready for a snack.
Brown Honeyeaters

Figbirds

Grey Fantails

Pied Currawong

Welcome Swallows

Aah, all so cute! Great photos.

Wonderful baby bird pictures! You are so fortunate to be able to see the nests. With a few rare exceptions, our birds’ nests are either way high in a tree or deep in a hedge or bush. Great photographs! Congratulations.

Great photos, Brian. Little birds seem to consist primarily of mouths and eyeballs. The eyeballs don’t work, but the mouths sure do.
