1. aaah… we don’t have Jacarandas in Canberra. Whenever I go to Sydney in jacaranda season, i remember how lovely they are.

7. That is a lovely picture. I’ve got the builders in at the moment and it really calmed me down after a day of noise and dust and debris and disasters!

8. They are beautiful trees but boy they are messy. We had one outside our building in California and it made quite a mess of the sidewalks! I tried to sweep up the petals as often as I could and got a lot of bee stings for my efforts!

   1. They certainly are MB All of the blossoms have fallen in town but the rain washed away the purple carpet before I had a chance to photograph. Bee stings aren’t the best. Not a good reminder of beautiful flowers 🙂

10. I miss the jacaranda — they grew in San Diego along with many other Aussie imports like bottle brush trees and eucalyptus.

    1. Jacarandas are South American. Grafton is known as the Jacaranda City.
