This is the seventh day of no satellite connection but at least the power issues seemed to have resolved themselves. It looks like the satellite dish or something in the modem isn’t doing what it should. I tried to ring a couple of times to see if it could be resolved remotely but when you get “you are number twenty in line” and after at least ten minutes it moves to nineteen, my patience doesn’t cope.
The good news is my landline is now working after a couple of weeks after someone did a burn and managed to melt the cables to the exchange. Sitting on the phone is more comfortable than mobile phone so it can do whatever plus I can be at the computer if I need to.
All this means I can’t access my photos or do posts in a way I like, so my contribution to photo challenges will be limited. I find it hard to link as well. Maybe this will give me more practice is writing and adding photos to posts. My dropping into your sites will be limited too as I have to be outside to get reception.
In other news I have had my first Covid vaccination. The sneaky plan was to escape lock down and see my bestie as it was five weeks since we were able to get together. I didn’t want to be alone after the vaccination due to some of the publicity about after affects and she is my partner. Well lock down finished a couple of days beforehand so I was able to go anyway. I had my shot and all I have is my arm is a bit sore. She is booked in for her vaccination on Monday so I was going back up there to be with her and make sure she is OK. Well that plan is out the window. Her area is back in a seven day lock down because some idiot didn’t stay in the Sydney hot spot and bought Covid to her LGA. As I was there, I am under a stay at home order for seven days.
I’ll try to use my phone camera if I have the great urge to post as the withdrawal symptoms may prove to be too great. Hope to be back soonish 🤞😀
A view of the sunroom where posts are read. Also tried to use my tablet camera

Beautiful place 👌🏼🌹 there had hurricane ?

Sorry to hear you’re in lock down again, albeit a shorter one this time. And technical issues on top of that – one thing after another. I hope things get back to what passes for normal these days soon.

Thanks Graham. Lock down is a shit. Good news is my landline phone is back as well as my internet. Stay at home until next Thursday will be easy as I am a stay at home type person anyway 🙂

I’m glad you got your technical issues sorted. I find those sorts of things very frustrating.

This evening everything has come good with lots of help from clever people. I am a happy chappy except for the stay at home order. Thanks for your concern scrapy ❤

Good grief! I’m so sorry to hear of all those technical problems, how frustrating for you.
I’m like you, I’m a computer person, sitting at my upstairs desk feels like I mean business, I’m immediately in work mode.
I have a laptop that I use when I’m confined to the kitchen, doggy sitting, parcel waiting, child sitting etc and I use my iPad when I’m in bed or just lounging around with everything else switched off, but the computer is the workhorse.
I’m glad you’ve finally had your first vaccination and I’m pleased that all you ended up with was the usual sore arm. I hope your bestie is okay after hers. Bad luck about the isolation period and the lockdown.
Anyway, I hope everything is back to normal for you vey soon. 🙂

Well Sue, three hours later and al is well, except for the stay at home order until Thursday. Yes I need m,y computer mainly for my photos and then the other stuff happens as well, emails, social media and of course the wonderful connections with my blog family ❤ So glad you are getting better too. My arm is still a bit sore from the injection site and now wait until early November for my second injection 🙂

So many frustration over the past two weeks Sheree but everything is going well now except for the stay at home order as I was in a Covid infection area that covers a big area. I was no where near the sites and in sort of isolation at my besties property. 🙂

I am glad that you saw the photo rather than my tirade lol Everything has come back to order technically. I am in stay at home orders for being in the same local govt are as an infected dickhead who can from a Sydney hot spot with the friggin’ virus although being at K’s property we are in isolation anyway. Just an inconvenience that I can’t help her with some stuff she is getting done to the house. I am missing the daily new look as the tradies finish for the day. New floors next week and I am not there to help move furniture and crap out of the rooms. Her son is helping thank goodness and the flooring blokes will help if needed.
Hope you and Mr are doing well my Jo 🤗💕

Sending all the forces down to you!
(Understand your frustrations. Staying in self-imposed LD seems the best strategy up here as it’s such a hot mess. 🙄 ) Glad to hear you’ve gotten a dose. Never had any reaction meself.
Love your leafy room!

You have had a hard week that is for sure. Whoever melted the wires should be charged somehow. Stay in touch when you can.

Things on top of another was just so bad for me. I love my sunroom too especially in Winter as the sun shines straight in and by Summer the sun is high and the room catches the breeze that flows 🙂

The term rooting is very different in Australian lingo 😲😂

I looked it up. Tut… tut … I’m trying hard to be respectably indignant about this … but I can’t 😁

It breaks me up every time I hear Americans use the term. Now you won’t be able to think otherwise either 😂😂

Right. I can’t unhear it. And I might use it this afternoon when I’m out with friends. I hope the one Australian who occasionally runs with us will be there!

Now that is gold Elke 😂😂 You will have to use it the right way though

Australian was there. I dropped so many hints until I got him to use it. He first used it acceptably (he said), after the run (he was sweating profusely and was what Brits call “knackered”) and he said , he was rooted . We got to discussing the nuances after that. 😁

That is so good Elke. Next time tell him to hurry up and stop rooting around 😂

It will be a while. He returned to Singapore today, he was here on holiday for ten days (aka: 3 runs with us). The weird thing: for people from Singapore Germany is the only country they can visit without having to go into quarantine. So they picked Germany as a holiday destination and found – us! Just their luck!

Apparently, it has to do with Frankfurt being the hub for Singapore Airlines.
