Awesome!! I love the storm coming. That dark threatening grey. Skies like that are so impressive.

A lovely selection, especially the carpet! It’s a great photo as you managed to capture its tongue! It’s a lovely close up.

Thanks MIggles. I did have a couple of shots to get that one. That was a catch and release after finding it in my chook house 🙂 🙂

It’s a great photo! We’ve also had a couple of carpet’s after our little chook. Her pen is now snake proof!

I snake proofed but couldn’t keep the Quolls out 😦

I have never seen a quoll, and as far as I know we don’t get them here. Do they burrow into the chook pen? I suppose the consider chooks easy prey?

They get in any small opening. They rip the heads off or their necks open and drink the blood and eat a small amount leaving most of the carcass to be disposed of. Chooks used to be easy prey for most things around here. I got too heart broken so don’t have chooks any more

Yes, I can understand why you don’t have chooks anymore. I’d feel the same.

But of course we have a snake tongue to view. I admit, a great capture. I love the koala. Looks like it’s wondering what you are up to.

Thanks Donna. The Carpet Snake is wondering “Last thing I remember was going into the hen house for a snack. How come I am here in the bush and how did I get here!” 🙂 🙂

Ha, please share THAT story.

Nothing much to tell. Rather common place around here 😀

Nice photos Brian. I particularly like the storm, the startled possum and, of course, the snake.

Is that a Possum is stunned by the light or the photo is stunning. Works either way for me thanks Sue 🙂 🙂

Oh wow… you captured Australia’s wild well. And that snake…either you are very near or that telephoto lens is good.

That’s scary then.

Not at all Teresa. Carpet snakes are harmless. I had just put him back in the bush after I found him in my chook house 🙂
