Debbie’s One Word Sunday: Wind
The Dragon speeds along in the wind
The Tiger looks apprehensive as the wind seems to drop……
….and ends up in the tree
The happy little orange kits sails on regardless

High Bushboy… I adored your opening photo today, and I was wondering if I could use it as a feature photo for my poem that I wrote today, and I’ll probably post tomorrow morning… the creative photo seems to be appropriate for my little piece ..
“Who is Watching?”
Are the clouds clearing?
Are the stars shining brighter?
Is the man on the moon smiling wider?
Today the sunlight is more radiant
The universe is more observant
Is the world more united?

We thought so. But at least in combination my husband and I both suck at flying kites. Watching is fun. Trying myself – not so much 😁

These kites can whisk you along as they are rather big. I managed to get small kites aloft for my kids. It is fun watching the big ones flying 🙂

Truly loved these Brian! I just read a wonderful book called “Virgil Wander”. Much of its plot centers around kites and kite flying so your post was perfectly time for me. Any or all of your images could have been great illustrations in the book!

Thanks Graham. No it was a kite festival and about 20 kite flyers on the beach. They have a lot of strings for control

I guess kites are a bit different from those of my youth!
