Bren’s Mid-Week Monochrome #56: Moorings
“Ships at a distance have every man’s wish on board. For some they come in with the tide. For others they sail forever on the horizon, never out of sight, never landing until the Watcher turns his eyes away in resignation, his dreams mocked to death by Time. That is the life of men.”
– Zora Neale Hurston, “Their Eyes Were Watching God”
I do like that split photo, Brian.

I like that mysterious top photo and the bottom one works very well in color and black and white.

Thanks Graham. That sailing ship was way out on the horizon with a bit of sea mist. Full telephoto gave an unexpected good result.
What time is it over there now. It’s almost 10:30am here

Ah, I’ve been out all day so time has moved on, but you’re 20 hours ahead of me. Right now, it’s just gone 5:45 pm on April 7 and I believe you’re well into the afternoon of the next day!
