Come to Durranbah for a minute or two

Lens-Artist Challenge #135: Glimpse Into Your World

This will be a few images of my world, not much to say. I guess I should thank everyone for pushing me to do a post. The choices of photos is too large to contemplate so how about I just do a small selection of photos from around my place.

It is a beautiful world

The sealed section for those who dislike the “scary” nature I have here is following

Look away now

Yes you….do it or don’t tell me I didn’t warn you but you really can look at spiders and snakes and ants. I promise they won’t leap from the screen. Anyway they are in small size to make your viewing more comfortable.

  1. What an amazing collection of photos Brian! I thoroughly enjoyed this peek into your world . Thanks for the heads up on the spiders and snakes, they were beautifully captured ! Durranbah , sounds lyrical quite like the song you chose . A beautiful world, indeed.

    1. I knew you would appreciate the warning. I had to after the pasting I got in a previous post. I love my world. As Alison said I live in a colourful world 🙂 🙂

  2. What a fabulous world you live in, Brian! I enjoyed the “glimpse” very much. The birds and flowers in particular are stunning. Your images of the spider webs are gorgeous, too. (Yes, I looked!!)

  3. I loved clicking through all the photos, and reading the names of the species, and figuring out which of the birds here in Texas would be in the same families. I especially loved the powerful owl and the jezebel butterflies — beautiful creatures with great names!

  4. Thank you for all these glipses into your wonderful world, Brian! Love your garden friends – especially the birds, but all of them, really. So much life! Hope most things are back to almost normal after the fires – or are there new fires? And I forget what Durranbah means…have you told us?

    1. You’re welcome Ann-Christine. Things are getting back to some sort of what it was like prior to the fires but will not be the same for another 30 years probably.
Durranbah means small jumping ant, not quite as big or colour of the ones in the post. I should have put a Durranbah photo in shouldn’t I 🙂 🙂
