Becky’s Square Photo Challenge #SquareUp
Yes smash it up. This is a bit of a sad place in the garden. The place where broken bird baths of the past come to their almost final resting place. One day they may find their way into the bottom of pot plants do aid drainage. Perhaps I could glue them back together. Some may find their way into a pothole on my road as extra fill.
I hope you enjoy the song for the post
Which photo do you like as I could not decide
I can’t stand to throw broken pots away. I, too, break them up and spread them around plants and against walls. Broken statues also abound in borders and on walls.

Don’t know if my comment didn’t show up because you are screening or because I forgot to hit send. This is a test.

Aha.. the error was mine. I had commented that I hate to throw broken pots away and that I, too, break them into smaller pieces and use them to surround plants in beds and around the walls of my house. Broken statues also find their places on ledges , in big pots surrounded by plants and elsewhere. This would make a good photo prompt, Bushboy. I’d play along!

I’m voting for the middle photo. I just like the balance of B&W with the reddish brown highlights.

Hmm, first and last, I think. Is that decisive enough for you? No, I’m going with last 🙂 🙂 A peaceful sound from the Damned. Ah, it’s just woken up 🙂 Have a good weekend, hon!

It is more like possums knocking them to the ground and I may have broken one refilling it with water 😦

oh that must have been so frustrating for you, you need to have words with your possums though!!

I have been but now have some pots on the ground so they don’t have to climb to have a drink. Simple solution

I find many birds prefer ground level too

I like the colour best, but the black and white highlights the pattern. I had no idea Smash it Up had a part I and II. So different too! A good blast from the past.

Thanks Susan 🙂 Smash It Up also has parts 3 and 4. I didn’t use the full length as its over seven minutes

I love the progression of the photos. There must be all three together. And I know why you keep these pieces: for that bird which collects blue things!!

Thanks Manja 🙂 Yes three birdbaths all smashed. The Satin Bowerbird doesn’t seem to want any of these, maybe they are too heavy to carry

I used to crumble them up and use them as drainage for all my indoor plants. We use felt pots for the pot which you can’t overwater. They just drain themselves. Planting season coming up soon!

That’s what I do but not for all plants 🙂
