This month's final assignment - try capturing the waves: either crashing dramatically against the rocks or a pier, surfers riding the waves, or gentle waves lapping on the seashore. Look out for someone or something that might add interest.
The foamy waves after a flood
Just checking out the waves…..
…..or maybe the fisher to see if he has caught anything
A huge swell that day
Waves on a stormy day
The White-faced Heron and Pied Oystercatcher were nonplussed about the waves
One of my favourite songs to listen to while you scroll
This week's assignment - look for patterns and / or textures along the seashore, this might be in the rocks or shells or seaweed. Try using different depths of field with the same subject then compare them to see which you prefer.
The Sand Images With water
Made by Sand Crabsup close
Intricate patterns are made
The receding water patterns
The shells and pebbles water patterns
A small Jellyfish and seaweed with bonus bubbles
Windblown Pig-face, buried flower and a stick
Sand textures, dune grass and shadows
Footprints in the sand
I used to cling to rocks now I make an interesting patterns in the sand
The Rock Pool Images
Algae makes a bold colour statement
The folds and patterns of the rocks, the green of the seaweed and subtle sand shapes
The Shells
A close photo of a broken shell accentuated sand and shadow
A contrast and almost moving shell
Using light on the lighter side of the shell leading to a darker side where the shadow resides
Interest is raised by the lines and colours on the shell
The Rocks
Using black and white to accentuate the shadows and highlight the shapes
This is a multi photo challenge post. Of course it features birds in my garden for Lisa’s Bird Weekly Photo Challenge as well as Tina from the Len-Artists Challenge #120 – What a Treat Also sneaking in a photo for Basil’s Life Captured Photo Prompt: Transitioning
All the following photos are taken in my garden either walking about or from the verandahs. My home is a treat for seeing birds, insects and animals as well as flowers. Here is a song to listen to as you take a stroll with me in my garden.
This is a King Parrot transitioning from juvenile to adult male
King Parrots can be cheeky. This one is looking through my office door to see what I am doing
Blue-faced Honeyeater and a Bottle Brush flower
The Little Friarbirds like the nectar from the grevillea flowers
Everyone loves a little Eastern Yellow Robin as they hop around the garden
There is always a surprise find in the garden. I think it may be a Lacewing hunting among the leaf litter
The Yellow-faced Honeyeaters chitter chatter in the garden
Dragonflies are always flitting about or just watching on a stick
Of course I could let a post about my garden go without including a Red-necked Wallaby and her Joey
So many butterflies in my garden throughout the year. Scarlet Jezebels arrive in September in time to take advantage of the Pentas flowers
Scarlet Honeyeaters are flashing jewels as they fly about seeking nectar from flowers like this Pink Euodia
The Orchard Swallowtail Butterflies are the largest butterflies in my garden
The Hippeastrums are flowering now and the tiny Stingless Native Bees just love them
