Inspiration. What inspires me? Who inspires me? The list of bloggers who inspire is far to long to list and I am afraid I would leave someone out which would be unforgivable. Probably if you are reading this YOU are an inspiration either with your wonderful photos (whose ideas I might steal every now and then) or incredible your poetry and words.

With what I do in the shed, my inspiration has to be my Grandfathers and Father who gave me the innate skills to use tools

This is the first shed I built to do stuff in.

Music has always been part of my life inspired by my Mother who played piano and encouraged me to pick up a guitar. I have lots of music and mostly always have music playing.

Probably my early life in Scouts gave me a love of the Australian bush and our environment. I became part of the solution and still do my part to try and make our world a better place. Landcare is a wonderful way to help others.

An Australian poet Nan Whitcomb who wrote The Thoughts of Nanushka, inspired my poetry. My Mum saw her on TV and told me about her while shelling the peas in the kitchen when I got home from work.

    1. That is only a small part. I loved LP covers way back, the art work and info. Much prefer CD’s Probably have around 900 now. Will have to build more shelves

  3. Well worth the wait Brian! How nice to have a peek into your world – I should have known you were a musician and a poet as well as one who loves and cares for our world. A man with a sensitive heart I’m thinking – perhaps much thanks to your mom. I absolutely LOVED the image of her writing on the poetry book and the image of her telling you about it while shelling peas. What a wonderful memory! Your post is an inspiration from start to finish.

  4. I loved this music, your blog started my day off right. There are so many great blogs on WordPress, I don’t have time to read all of them . (lying to self: I have all day, cant go anywhere due to Covid). I just love that WordPress lets us talk to people all over the world.

Such a wonderful post Brian, I especially love the poetry book and the memory of your mother telling you about the poet after she’d seen her on TV and the way you still use your father’s and grandfather’s tools to build something new. You’re an inspiration to many of us and thank you for sharing the Powderfinger song too 🙂

    1. I didn’t notice that before. Somehow when the old photo was scanned or whatever it turned me around to make me look left-handed!!!Oh yes music from the 60 and 70’s….ahhh…..
