The Screen Door – A Shed Project

As it is Winter here I thought I would reblog for the Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge: Summer Projects

The screen door is a reclaimed part of my childhood. No longer used in the family home it made its way here. The screen door was used on the first โ€œhouseโ€ I built. It made the journey to this house, albeit with a few dodgy repairs, and was on the front door until it started to show signs of wear.
Relegated to a shed and neglected. I was always going to fix that screen door up one day. Years passed and the lack of a good work space where things could get started and a place where the job could sit if it needed time for repairs to set.

  1. My late husband once built a little gardening shed next to his vegi patch that was created entirely from old doors that he’d had given. Each one was painted a diffent colour. How I wish I’d taken photos of it.

        1. You and K both…..you never know when that will come in handy. I bought a biggish box of sundries at a farm clearance sale years ago. I have used all but 5 or 6 pieces of that box. They have come in handy. When you and Mr come here, you and K can sit on the verandah and both wonder why you ever got involved with such clever and inventive men ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€
