Wouldn’t that have been wonderful. Gary Brooker was the mainstay of Procol Harem. a bit of group angst led to their demise. Robin Trower was a great guitarist. Took quite a while for them to get into the Hall of Fame (2018) so many great songs. I have a couple of vinyl LPs this is OK info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procol_Harum

The opening Wiki paragraph has me confused. I know that psychedelic rock is but what on earth is proto-prog?!

You should have been around in 1964 Becky lol. Prog rock is progressive music more like mini operas, King Crimson etc proto is the first groups to used this “formula”

Oh yes. Lots of big tents that have different groups or musicians and you wander from tent to tent

How fabulous – and does everyone but their red seats from the same place, or do you hire them there?!

Those would have been fixed in that location. People often take their own chairs as seating is limited unless you don’t mind standing at the back. I have worked out the ones I want to see and get in between acts so you can get a place up the front if I want. Big loud bands go to the middle/rear where the sound is just right 🙂

Yes it is. Jake is the dog of my mate. We were staying there and Jake followed me everywhere in case I thought he needed a pat 😀 😀
