The Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #74: Abstract
Bren’s Photo for the Week #48: Water
Ragtag Daily Prompt Monday: Ponder
I did ponder what I could post for abstract. I often take a photo and it isn’t quite right for the original subject but gets kept as it has a certain “quality” that I like. Some are deliberate like the water shots in this gallery others are well, I’ll let you be the judge.
These couple of water photos are just as I took them. No editing or enhancements at all. Just the reflection of the boat or wharf or whatever was beside me when I took the images.
This one has been manipulated. I like the colours and shapes with a bit of added pixelation.
The garden behind a fence. I thought of straightening the photo but the slight angle adds a bit don’t you think?
Capturing an Orchard Swallowtail Butterfly when your camera is set for something else you were photographing at the time when a big butterfly cruises past
The lack 9f straightening does add a bit. If you straighten, you have to chop off some of your photo which often looks wrong, don’t you think? 😉

Yeah. The chop off wouldn’t have affected much in this case. I did crop a bit anyway 🙂

I love the reflections on the water Brian and straightening an image can sometimes take the fun out of the original angle – I really like the garden behind the fence the way you captured it 🙂

Perhaps there is no such thing as a mistake – I save all my photos too. These worked really well. The water image “swirls” are mesmerizing.

I don’t think so either, although some do get deleted 😀

Excellent. I like the water reflections, and the offset fence jogs the ‘norm’ of right angles.
