The Ragtag Thursday Prompt: Scratch
Also Nancy’s Photo a Week Challenge: Hands
Everyone loves a Koala. They are so adorable, cute and ever so cuddly so the marketing tells you. On the weekend a Koala was in the tree in my besties garden. She has a number of trees that Koalas love for their food and a place to sleep. Koalas sleep for around nineteen hours a day!!!
This is the Koala. High in the tree and a bit hard to spot.

A sleepy eye was on me as I walked about beneath the tree.
So you want to cuddle a Koala? Maybe find one who has had a pedicure. Their claws are quite long and sharp. The trees are quite marked with scratches where a Koala ambles up to find a snack or a place to rest for the day.
Here is a bit about Koalas I wrote years ago

Yes they are. When you climb trees all the time you need a bit of grip 🙂

The amazing secrets trees hold for us that your gorgeous photos reveal. Thanks for sharing them. I, too, am awed by the climbing-tool claws!

Raccoons are cute and cuddly looking too but they can be mean as hell. If you feed them and keep feeding them the one day that you don’t have any food for them, they’ll attack you.

That is a good reason not to feed them. I have seen videos of Raccoons entering houses through cat flaps

It is something that needs to be done. I am sure the ones in zoos etc, where people can hold a Koala, they wouldn’t dig in…..maybe…..

They look adorable, but I am quite happy not cuddling! I don’t think we should . . even if they didn’t have those claws.

That is so true. They don’t need our perceived affection 😉
