Debbies quotation-inspired image challenge
“Ah, good taste! What a dreadful thing! Taste is the enemy of creativeness.”
Pablo Picasso
Taste is a matter for the individual. Have the following images been subjected to being the enemy of creativeness?
Not to my taste but someone loved this lamp base once
Not too sure I want to hear this record – available on Spotify if you are game
From The Stacks: ‘Anna Russell In Darkest Africa’
The kids just love this
A window down an alley in Lismore. Do you want to go inside?
Not to my taste either! 😀

I love it. If I could I would have a second house filled with siilar attrocities. But I couldn’t have them permanently around me. My favourite is the “darkest Africa” cover, it is such a mixture of half truths (besides the fact that “tastelessness” doesn’t begin to describe the overall idea of the scene), e.g. the Ndebele armbands and necklaces together with those skirts.

When I found it in an op-shop, I just had to grab a photo. So glad you enjoyed my finds 🙂

I knew I could rely on you to bring us something that questions taste!
And I was foolish enough to try out Anna Russel – wish I still didn’t know who she is!!

Thanks Debbie 🙂 I do try to be inspired by your quotations. I still am too scared to listen to any Anna Russell. Bravo my dear Debbie, I hope you won’t be scarred for life 🙂
