Fun With Photo Editing

A fun topic from Terri for the Sunday Stills: Fun with #Photo-Editing

OK…….I may have gone a bit far with this topic. I did have fun. The photo editing program I use is Corel PaintShop Pro 2019 Ultimate.

This is the original photo of a Forest Kingfisher181025_blog challenge_photo_editing_forest kingfisher1

I lightened and dropped the shadows a bit on the photo to try and bring out the features of the Kingfisher

I like vignette to highlight a subject

Now try black and white. I increased the black a touch

Of course there’s crop the photo which magnified the slight bit of out of focus

Now for a bit of the fun. I finally settled on a distortion effect called Warp

Do you think I had fun? Which photo do you prefer?

I looked for a song with Kingfisher in the lyrics. I found an old Pink Floyd song I don’t think I have heard before.

  1. Brian, I love your edits! It really is fun and I admire your use of Corel Paintshop! How do you like it, is there a hard learning curve? Your kingfisher morph is very cute! Like a funhouse mirror! Thanks for joining the editing fun at Sunday Stills!

    1. Thank you Terri 🙂 I am yet to master all of the tools available. It isn’t too hard to get around and the learning tutorials are good. Like a funhouse mirror indeed 😀
