Paula has supplied some good words this month for Pick a Word
I hope I can do her words justice with my photos this month. I do so love this photo challenge. I have done a bit of cheating using one of Kimskys drawings but I did take the photo for her portfolio.
cavernous
extractable
inhabitable
diurnal
conspicuous
nice take on the words (and I miss this challenge – and hope to do it again sometime soon…) anyhow, kimsky’s art was good for extractable – and the diurnal image felt like an art set up.

Thank you Yvette 🙂 I followed that butterfly for ages and when it sat on top of the flower…..magic

I can imagine you following it – hahah
and the leaf to the left – and all this plain negative space makes this feel so abstract and has an indoor or outdoor or studio feel.

Thank you Yvette 🙂 I like the way the leaf points to the butterfly as well. It is a Common Jezabel Butterfly. I can see the studio feel as well

Common Jezabel coordinates with that bloom too –

It is a Lantana flower, a bit of a pest species around here

a pest? wow – well they are easy growers here and seemed to have a big surge of them in the garden world 2005 to 2010 –
like the potted plants would have multicolored lantana for the midrange hanging blooms –
and I did have some white lantana come back one year and it was a surprise and a gift –
but a pest – wow –

Oh yes. I have impenetrable gullies filled with the spiky stuff. I spend a bit of my time pulling them out. The red variety is poisonous to stock so it is on the hit list so the neighbours animals don’t get sick.

Love the stairwell and the fire especially, but they are a good selection, Brian 🙂 🙂

Thank you Jo. I love how Paulas words resonate when thinking of photos. Some come easily, others take a bit of thinking 🙂
