The Scene at the Bird Bath

Most days at the bird bath many birds come and go, sharing the wonderful resource of water. I have lots of dishes and bird baths around my place as the weather is warm (for a Winter) and it is very dry. There hasn’t been any rain for quite a while and bushfires are all around but none are threatening my place, yet.

Today, at one bird bath, I heard the sounds of King Parrots approaching, but I wasn’t expecting such a scene.

It started quietly enough, just having a bit of a drink.

Another dropped in for a drink too.

It was still going well. You drink, I drink, all is good.

And then the scene started. “I don’t like you and what you do when you get here!!!”

“What do you mean scarlet face???”

“Oh there you go.” “Getting in the drinking water again!!!”

“So what, I can do what I want!!!” “What are you going to do about it?”

“Just take off buddy, you’re not wanted around this bird bath.”

And with that, the scene was peaceful again.
