Gulls

The word prompt from city sonnet: Gulls

The Gulls flew while the Cormorants just bobbed about hunting fish

Or hurriedly leaving the beach in a tangle of wings

Or just standing at the waters edge enjoying the sand between the toes.

  1. This should be in a book – seriously – but let’s just enjoy the post for what it offers us!

  2. Beautiful gulls they are. I love their orange stick legs. Love the one on the beach blanket near the umbrella- they think nothing of taking over. I watched one last year remove potato chips from someone’s bag while it was unattended- they crack me up!
