Fences and Gates

Have a look at all the fences and gates at Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Fences and Gates

Here is my selection of Fences and Gates from around here

One of my favourite gates. A typical Australian house gate from last century

Some farm gates are meant to be sat upon

Guess which side of the old farm fence the cattle are on? The fence keeps them from the railway line too.

Some cattle have no idea what a farm fence is for. I love the spiders webs that are built on the fences and melt away when the morning sun heats up.

This part of the fence and old gates are on my place. I used to love making gates.

  1. Fencesa nd gates can often lend scale and inroads to a shot as you have shown here. The gate you have shown is typical also of those in the UK in the 60s. My dad used to paint ours every year, sometimes black and white but one year navy and yellow – must have been a psychedelic era!
